According to Afgcric sources Rashid Latif has resigned from coaching Afghanistan national team. Rashid Latif was meant to take over after Kabir Khan who was sacked by ACB.According to our sources Mr. Latif mailed ACB in which he wrote "due to family and personal intentions I cannot continue this job any more"
It has not been possible for us to confirm this with Afghanistan Cricket Board. If true ACB will stand without a qualified coach, as a Kabir Khan comeback seem impossible.
As late as just yesterday ACB CEO Hamid Shinwari on a press release said "ACB decision on Kabir Khan is final and cannot be reversed. At the moment ACB has not hired another coach, but Rashid Latif is given the responsibility for time being and ACB may also hire a bowling coach"
Kabir Khan on his facebook page wrote to Afghan fans "Your love means a lot to me, I being the coach of Afghanistan or not is not important, important here is the future of Afghanistan. I don't complain on anyone, everything has an end, and this might have been my end here" he added " There is a meaning behind all the doings of Allah! ACB has lots of coaches to choose between, I'll have jobs to choose between, but Afghanistan is and will remain in my blood and heart. Afghanistan Zindabad"
