ACC T20 Tournament Fixture Released

Denfending Champions Afghanistan will play it first match in ACC Twenty20 Cup against Hong Kong on 3rd of December. 10 nations will participtie in this event. The tournament will be held in cricket crazy Nepal for over 9 days from 3rd December till 11th of December.

Each day four matches will be played at two grounds, teams will alternate grounds every other match, so that all teams have a chance to play in both grounds against different opposition. Total of 27 matches will be played in the tournament. All morning matches will begin 9:30 am local time (3:45 GMT) and all afternoon matches will begin 1:00 pm local time (7:15 GMT). Two groups have been formed for this competition.

Group A:  Nepal, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Bhutan and Saudi Arabia

Group B:  Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, Kuwait and Maldives.

This tournament is part of the qualifying process for ICC World Twenty20 2012 in Sri Lanka. The teams who will  achieve positions from 1 to 3 will join Afghanistan and other top six Associate and Affiliate teams with ODI status to compete in the 16-team ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier to be held in UAE in early 2012.  The other regional teams in the qualifier will be Europe (2), Africa (2), Americas (2) and East Asia – Pacific (1).
