Law College make it through to the semis

Law College make it through to the semis

Law College was the last team to qualify for the semi-finals when they beat Pharmacy College by 86 runs in 15-over cricket tournament at Kabul University today 29th of October.

Colleges of Agriculture, Literature and Science are the other three teams that have made it to the semis.

In today's game, Law College won the toss and chose to bat. Law College scored a well defendable score of 169 with the loss of only 5 wickets. The target was 170 in 15 overs for Pharmacy College. The highest scorer for law college was Fardin Salehi who got 51 runs before he got himself run out. Sarwar got two wickets for Pharmacy College. 

Pharmacy batsmen started their innings cautiously. However, they could not resist a well disciplined law college who were brilliant in both fielding and bowling. Pharmacy College did not offer much resistens as wickets were falling regularly and quickly. The top scorer for Pharmacy was captain Navid who managed only 15 runs. Eventually Pharmacy College were all out for 83 in the 15th over. 

All rounder Jahid Safi of law college was declared man of the match for his 3 wickets and 20 runs. 

First of the two Semi finals will be played tomorrow, Sunday 30 October,  and the other on Monday 31 of October. 

Law College squad: Fardin Salehi, Jahid Safi, Samim, Ihsan, Farhad, Mustafa, Fawad, Samir, Zabi, Mujtaba, Fazel Qadir Fazly (coach)

Pharmacy College squad: Navid (captain), Sarwar, Yaqub, Nooryasin, Akmal, Iqbal, Fahim, Khalid, Shabir and Mustafa
